Update! As Pixlr does not colour profiles to be embedded with the image files, I can no longer recommend Pixlr as a viable option for product photography (although it’s fine for photos where colour authenticity is less important).
Not sure what the heck I’m talking about? Check out my video on embedding colour profiles here:
For product photography, I recommend Adobe Photoshop + Lightroom ($9.99 a month with the Photography subscription). You can find it here: www.amytakespictures.com/photoshop-lightroom (FYI, this is an affiliate link although I totally stand behind these programs and use them myself)
This tutorial cover the basic process for editing your DIY product photos using the free photo editing web app, Pixlr. Covering cropping/resizing, levels adjustment, and color balance, this video will have you on your way to editing great product photos in no time flat.

Hello,Amy! Thanks a lot for the video! When I go to adjustment: levels – on my pixlr editor (https://pixlr.com/editor/) there's no histogram. Instead a sign similar to cropping is showing up. Have pixlr made any modifications or updates since you posted this video? And what do you advise to do now, Amy?
Thank you so much, this will help a lot, I'm excited to get this working for my biz
